The Lodge
The lodge" is a solid timber lodge with grass roof in wilderness style inspired by American lodge constructed by local nature material, ecological thinking and a modern comfort in a beautiful homestead environment. The large energy windows give a close contact with nature when you spent time reading a good book in front of the soap-stone fireplace. The lodge house is interior all through decorated with wilderness panel, slater floor in local red granite from Mångsbodarna and personally designed and carpented furniture in rustique wilderness style. The standard is high with modern comfort and you enjoy icecold carbonated spring water directly in the kitchen tap. From the large covered terrass in south direction you can sit and watch a beautiful forest yard with a separate timber sauna and "raclette or outside dining cottage with the forest right outside.
The lodge has a lovely living room open in two storeys and a stone fireplace, slater heated floor in red granite from Mångsbodarna and large isolared windows with close contact with the nature outside. In the living room you find a modern kitchen with induction cooktop and wall oven, espresso coffee machine, dish washer, build-in fridge and freezer, citrus squeezer and fresch ice-cold carbonated spring water directly in the kitchen tap.
The bath room is exclusively SPA-inspired with slater floor, modern shower cabin, decoration and appliances in black including conviences such as laundry machine, dryer and drying cabinet.
In the ground floor you will also find a lovely bedroom with a large wonderful queen size bed in lodge style.
At the loft you find a nice TV-place with sofa and chair and a large channel offering including Playstation 3. Here is also room for the kids to sleep with two regular beds, a sofa bed and a chair bed. The loft is reached through a stairway, somewhat steeper than a regular stairway.
The total number of beds are 4+3 but recommended number of guests for a full week is 2 adults and 2-3 kids. In shorter stays you may be more guests.
Outside is a lovely covered terrass in south direction with 5 Aidairondack chairs where you can enjoy the sun and nature on wool plaids under a fleece blanket or to enjoy an outside dinner. In the wonderful homestead you find a separate timber sauna a few steps out, a raclette or outside dining cottage and a outside dining table to use in sunny days. The nature and the forest is just outside. The yard has good parking lots for 1-3 cars. A barbeque is of course also available.
Given the character of the house with rough flooring, steep stairway to the loft and rustique furniture the smallest children may not be completely comfortable in this house (nor their parents). The Dalecarlia house is better suited for the smallest children.
Enjoy sauna bath in summer as well as in winter. In this hous the sauna is situated separately in a cosy timber cottage a few steps from the terrass in the cosy homestead.
